• Anatomy and imaging are everything for PCNL
• Why?
 To confirm that we SHOULD do a PCNL  To perform a PCNL safely
‒ Liver, spleen, retrorenal colon
‒ Optimal puncture site
‒ For when intra-operative imaging may be sub-optimal (morbidy obesity, skeletal anomalies)
• And why NOT?
 If we can reduce complications from 1/100 to 1/1000
 If you need a GA for a PCNL, you deserve a pre-op CT!
