Guidelines: Staghorn Calculi
1: AUA Recommendations
Actively treat Staghorn Calculi
PCNL should be considered first line Tx
If combo therapy last procedure should be PCNL Open surgery should not be used for most pts
2: EAU Recommendations
Open surgery or Laparoscopic surgery should be considered a second or third line treatment option.
When expertise available laparoscopic should be the preferred option over open surgery.
LANL can be effective for removal of complex staghorn stones, however, PCNL is still the method of choice.
